What is Climate Mission 3D?
Climate Mission 3D is a game that aims to raise awareness about climate change and its impacts on the planet. The game consists of three types of mini-games: Trees, Ants, and Ice. Each category has 20 levels to complete, so that makes 60 levels in total. The games are simple but challenging, and they get harder as you progress. Here is a brief description of each game type:
Trees: You throw fruit from a tree, and you can either have it land anywhere, growing into another tree with three fruits ready to throw, or throw the fruit into the target areas, which loses the fruit but scores you a point.
Ants: You leave scent trails around a world to guide a team of ants towards pine needles and fruit, before returning them to the ants nest, while avoiding water. This is on a strict time limit.
Ice: You shove around lots of little icebergs, collecting up other icebergs to make huge icebergs, collecting clover along the way as your score. But you have a maximum iceberg size, so you need to collect up as much as you can before hitting this.
The first time you win a game, you will reduce the level of global warming, and if you have a good enough score, earn some medals. These medals can be used to unlock new levels, discover new technologies, and apply them to different continents to lower the temperature even more. You can also use the medals to vote for your favorite environmental projects from WWF, IUCN, and Oxfam. Nokia will donate 50,000 Euros to these projects according to your votes.
